The Same Journey

The ancients believed the sun
entered the underworld each night
had to be reborn the next day,
the body to make the same journey.

There were no guarantees, though.

An instruction manual was needed.
Created writing to tell each other how
to get through life and how

to get through death.

We still write to keep the sun rising.
